The Community Sport for All Initiative component seeks to remove barriers and increase sport participation rates for underrepresented groups. Its key objective is to support community sport initiatives for equity-deserving groups, in particular, Black, Indigenous,  2SLGBTQI+, and newcomers to increase participation and retention in sport.
At MBRC, the CSFAI provides people with no rowing experience their first touch with the sport. When we have “Come and Try” experiences available, they will be listed here with registration information.

Maple Bay Rowing Club is partnering with Cowichan Intercultural Society for the second year in a row to open our doors and provide free rowing opportunities to their members. We will be hosting two rows this June to have participants out on the water and enjoy all things rowing. Cowichan Intercultural Society is the leading community resource for immigrant settlement services, and for education and awareness in developing welcoming and inclusive communities! They have been serving the Cowichan Valley Region since 1981. For more information please click here. https://www.cowichanintercultural.org
